Tired

First day back at work in 5 weeks. It went quickly, and wasn't all that bad. I was paired with a guy that is pretty much half my age, and we have nothing in common, but it wasn't horrible.

I have been trying to be very good about watching what I eat. I wasn't supposed to start on solids yet but I did last night. Tara made a pasta dish with all sorts of veggies and feta cheese and pesto....and I just had to have a spoonful or two.

Today though I drank 2 protein shakes, had a small lettuce salad with veggies and a sugar free pudding cup. And LOTS of water....I'm floating still.

Then I came home. Tara made cookies. I ate one. Just one. Then had a veggie burger patty (no bread or anything) and another spoonful of that pasta stuff.

All in all not a bad eating day. I am so on the fence about the scale though. Tomorrow is supposed to be my weigh-in day but I don't want to be disappointed. I may weigh-in every 2 weeks instead.

I don't know. Guess I will play it by ear.

Clean eating

I am currently researching clean eating. We already do that some. We do fish, chicken, fruits, veggies, but we aren't totally eating clean. I want to start incorporating that eating style more.

Move it

Except that I don't. I need to exercise. We have a treadmill and I need to use it. Daily. One mile. Slow walking at first.

Starting Over...again

Quick intro.

I had lapband surgery several years ago. My highest weight was 388. My lowest was 244. I ran into a bit of trouble and had to unfill the band again and again. I watched my weight creep up and up. I watched my health go down. Not cool!

I found a new doctor that I love. They have stopped the reflux, fixed my esophagus, where it had torn and eroded, and filled my band again. So, back on my journey I go.

Today's weight 312. I'm on a restricted diet for almost a month. Two weeks of liquids. Two weeks of soft foods. I am drinking three or four protein shakes a day. Eating sugar free Popsicles. Drinking broth. Lots of water and unsweetened tea.

I will weigh on Tuesdays, post it here, and hold myself accountable. I have set a high goal, it may be too high. I want to be within five pounds of 200 by June 2014 for our cruise!
